Festivals of “Rann Utsav”

The Great Rann of Kutch is in 7500 SQ KM in the area, and the Rann of Kutch is registered to be one of the largest salt deserts in the world. The Great Rann is a salt marsh located at the Thar Desert in the Kutch District of Gujrat, India. Kutchi people have been resettling in this area. The great rann was a vast shallow of the Arabian Sea until continuing geological uplift closed off the connection with the sea. Over here there are sandy islets of thorny scrub, forming a wildlife sanctuary. Release the land for some of the largest herds of wild and short flamingo’s wildlife including wild asses. It is one of the hottest areas of India, in summer temperatures averaging and peaking at 49.5 °C. And in winter temperatures reduce dramatically and can go below 0 °C. The Indian government protects all the area. Festivals of  “Rann Utsav”

The Government of Gujarat hosts an annual 3-month long festival during winter called “The Rann Utsav,” where all tourists can see the various sights of the Rann & enjoy the festivals. Amitabh Bachchan is in his promotion for Gujarat Tourism Titled “Khushboo Gujarat Ki” has extensively shot in the Rann of Kutch. The festival of “Rann Utsav” is started from 1 November 2017. It gives visitors not only a chance to stay here and experienced the full moon on the salt deserts but also gets a taste of the local culture, hospitality, and cuisine. Also, many adventure clubs and travel clubs organize expeditions. They specially built local houses are also used to house tourists to give them a test of local traditions.
